Defesa : Curitiba, 14/03/2018Inclui referênciasResumo : O presente trabalho visa analisar a formação e o uso do conceito de "judaísmo" no livro de 2 Macabeus, bem como sua relação com o conceito de "helenismo". Para isto foi necessário não somente um estudo aprofundado do livro de 2 Macabeus, efetuado no primeiro capítulo deste trabalho, mas também uma compreensão a respeito do mundo helenístico e do próprio povo judeu no período helenítico, a fim de se conceber não somente o contexto histórico e cultural dentro do qual o livro estudado se insere, mas também o próprio significado dos conceitos estudados. A metodologia utilizada caracteriza-se como interdisciplinar, enquanto um estudo de "história dos conceitos" que busca delinear uma genealogia de cada conceito assim como de seus significados a partir de elementos históricos, etimológicos, filosóficos e mesmo sociológicos, recorrendo a diferentes tipos de fontes, tais como textos, moedas e inscrições. Tal metodologia foi aplicada sequencialmente através de um estudo inicial do histórico de cada conceito, verificando-se sua origem etimológica e desenvolvimento, seguido por uma análise particular do seu uso em 2 Macabeus, e culminando em uma apresentação das diversas características que compõem a unidade de cada conceito, tal como se pode verificar nos capítulos 2 e 3, que tratam respectivamente dos conceitos de "helenismo" e "judaísmo". Como resultado, pôde-se não somente verificar a profunda relação entre os conceitos de "helenismo" e "judaísmo" em 2 Macabeus, mas também uma oposição entre estes conceitos que, apesar de ser artificial e não condizer com a realidade histórica, foi um elemento necessário para a própria construção identitária dos judeus mediante a formação do conceito de "judaísmo". Judaísmo do Segundo TemploAbstract : The present work aims to analyze the formation and the use of the concept of "Judaism" in the book of 2 Maccabees, as well as its relation with the concept of "Hellenism". For this purpose, was needed not only an in-depth study of the book of 2 Maccabees, carried out in the first chapter of this work, but also an understanding of the Hellenistic world and of the Jewish people in the Hellenistic period, in order to conceive not only the historical context and cultural context within which the studied book is inserted, but also the very meaning of the concepts studied. The methodology used is characterized as interdisciplinary, while a study of "history of concepts" that seeks to delineate a genealogy of each concept as well as its meanings from historical, etymological, philosophical and even sociological elements, using different types of sources such as texts, coins and inscriptions. This methodology was applied sequentially through an initial historical study of each concept, with its etymological origin and development, followed by a particular analysis of its use in 2 Maccabees, and culminating in a presentation of the various characteristics that integrate the unit of each concept, as can be seen in chapters 2 and 3, which deal respectively with the concepts of "Hellenism" and "Judaism". As a result, one could not only verify the deep relationship between the concepts of "Hellenism" and "Judaism" in 2 Maccabees, but also an opposition between these concepts which, although artificial and not in keeping with historical reality, was a a necessary element for the very identity construction of the Jews through the formation of the concept of "Judaism".
