Defesa: Curitiba, 11/12/2015Inclui referências : f. 223-227Resumo: Essa dissertação traça uma análise etnográfica sobre o design autoral, isto é, objetos com ênfase na autoria de seu criador. O foco da pesquisa é o mobiliário de design assinado e comercializado em uma loja de Curitiba. Dentre alguns nomes de designers que figuram esse contexto é possível citar Sergio Rodrigues, Aristeu Pires e Fernando Mendes. A loja serviu como ponto de partida e, a partir dela, a pesquisa se estendeu para uma fábrica localizada na cidade industrial de Curitiba, que produz alguns móveis de Sergio Rodrigues, para o atelier do próprio Sergio Rodrigues no Rio e Janeiro e, por fim, para entrevistas com diversos arquitetos que, em grande medida, utilizam os objetos de design autoral em seus projetos. Os lugares pesquisados possuem dinâmicas e construções próprias, ao passo que incorporam significações diversas nos objetos analisados. Ao longo da pesquisa, buscou-se evidenciar não somente as construções ambientais e relacionais na qual esses objetos se inserem, mas também as articulações dos discursos sobre esses móveis, que perpassam noções de reprodutibilidade técnica, arte, autoria e trabalho manual. Palavras chave: Cultura material, consumo, design autoral, reprodutibilidade técnica, arte.Abstract: This dissertation provides an ethnographic analysis of the author design, in other words, objects with an emphasis on authorship of his creator. The chosen focus is signed designer furniture sold in a Curitiba shop that served as a starting point. There are some important designers in this context as Sergio Rodrigues, Aristeu Pires and Fernando Mendes.From this research extended to a factory located in the industrial city of Curitiba, Sergio Rodrigues's studio in Rio de Janeiro and finally to interview several architects who largely use the authorial design objects in their projects. The places of my research have by itself own constructions while incorporate different meanings on analyzed things. Throughout the research sought to highlight not only the environmental and relational constructs which these objects are located, but also the joints of speeches on these mobile, mechanical reproduction that underlie notions of art, authorship, craftsman works.
