Defesa : Curitiba, 27/02/2023Inclui referênciasResumo: Esta pesquisa analisa, no período entre 1849 e 1913, a educação artística feminina e suas transformações, de acordo com as representações de gênero vigente, buscando entender as relações sociais e econômicas que resultaram em processos cujas funções variaram ao longo do tempo, da sociabilidade à sua profissionalização no campo cultural e artístico na região do Paraná. São objetos de atenção tanto os colégios particulares que ofertavam atividades relacionadas aos dotes artísticos desde 1849, como escolas de arte em funcionamento ao final do século XIX e início do século XX, como a Escola de Belas Artes e Indústrias, o Conservatório de Belas Artes e a Escola de Alfredo Andersen. A tese defendida é a de que a educação artística feminina, de acordo com as representações de gênero vigentes, marcada inicialmente pela sociabilidade e depois por uma formação mais específica, possibilitou que as mulheres que frequentaram as diferentes instituições se tornassem artistas, professoras normalistas e professoras de arte, contribuindo para a formação do campo cultural e do embrião do campo artístico paranaense na segunda metade do século XIX e início do século XX. O objetivo geral foi investigar a educação artística ofertada às mulheres, em consonância com as representações de gênero vigentes, a fim de observar as transformações ocorridas e que possibilitam, para além da formação cultural de mulheres, seu reconhecimento como artistas e professoras na teia relacional dos campos em formação na região do Paraná na segunda metade do século XIX e início do século XX. Utilizamos o conceito de representação (CHARTIER) para analisar os modelos de comportamento feminino que se relacionavam com a arte, observando as relações de gênero (SCOTT) presentes na sociedade e nas instituições avaliadas e correlacionando com o capital das alunas e artistas em consonância com a formação do campo cultual e, posteriormente, do campo artístico (BOURDIEU). Foram utilizadas fontes advindas de variados acervos, físicos e virtuais, tais como a imprensa periódica; biografias e memórias; legislação escolar; documentos institucionais e imagens. As mudanças políticas e sociais de final de século permitiram que diferentes visões acerca da educação artística e das mulheres circulassem nas áreas urbanas do Paraná, possibilitando que, para além da formação diletante, algumas das alunas de instituições de arte pudessem se profissionalizar como artistas, professoras normalistas e professoras de arte na virada do século XX.Abstract: This research analyzes the female artistic education and its transformations between 1849 and 1913, according to the gender representations of that time. It seeks to understand the social and economic relations that resulted in processes whose functions varied over time, from sociability to its professionalization in the cultural and artistic fields in the region of Paraná. Objects of attention are both private schools that offered activities related to artistic skills since 1849, and Art schools in operation by the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century, such as the School of Fine Arts and Industries, the Conservatory of Fine Arts and Alfredo Andersen's School. This thesis defends that female artistic education (according to gender representations of that time, initially marked by sociability and later by specific training), enabled women who attended different institutions to become artists, teachers and Art teachers, contributing to the formation of the cultural field and the embryo of the artistic field of Paraná in the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The general objective is to investigate the artistic education offered to women according to the gender representations of their time, in order to observe the transformations that have occurred allowing their recognition as artists and teachers in the relational network of fields being formed in the Paraná region in the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. It is used the concept of representation (CHARTIER) to analyze the models of female behavior that were related to art, observing the gender relations (SCOTT) present in society and in the institutions evaluated and correlating them with the capital of female students and artists in line with the formation of the cultural field and, later, of the artistic field (BOURDIEU). Sources from various physical and virtual collections were used, such as the periodical press; biographies and memoirs; school legislation; institutional documents and images. Social and political changes influenced transformations in artistic education and gender representations, enabling the professionalization of women as artists and Art teachers at the turn of the 20th century.
