Resumo: The urban soils are volumes that rapidly expanding worldwide, with changes that distinguish soil from rural areas or natural. The importance of studying these soils is reflected in obtaining information for urban planning, hydrological study, and urban areas. The objective was to characterize and classify the soils of the urban Jardim Paulista in Campina Grande do Sul/PR. The sampling pattern observed the lot north of each batch of the 105 existing blocks. In 91 of these plots were also collected samples for particle size analysis, pH in CaCl2 , bulk and particle density. Anthropized soils were classified according to a proposed classification developed by Embrapa Florestas. The results showed that: a) many areas of the urban soils studied show signs of surface compaction processes, but do not show significant alkalization of the surface layer, b) the main processes of anthropization found in these urban soils are the addition of other soils or materials and beheading horizon (s), c) soils in Jardim Paulista can be classified predominantly in the class of Antropossolos Sômicos

Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia/UFRA2012-07-27info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://ajaes.ufra.edu.br/index.php/ajaes/article/view/510Amazonian Journal of Agricultural Sciences Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; Vol 55 No 2 (2012): RCA; 98-104Revista de Ciências Agrárias Amazonian Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; v. 55 n. 2 (2012): RCA; 98-1042177-87601517-591Xreponame:Revista de Ciências Agrárias (Belém.
