Resumo: The cultivation of cowpea is the food base for small producers in the Northeast region, so it is necessary to adopt techniques that increase productivity. The effect of the interaction of inoculation with fertilization in obtaining better responses in the culture has been studied. The objective of this work was to evaluate cowpea with inoculation of rhizobacteria associated with different doses of nitrogen. The experimental design used was in randomized blocks in a 9x4 factorial and four replications: T1-without inoculation, T2-with inoculation, T3-with inoculation and dose 10 Kg ha-1 of N, T4- with inoculation and 20 Kg ha-1 of N, T5-with inoculation and 30 Kg ha-1 of N, T6- without inoculation and 60 Kg ha-1 of N, T7-without inoculation and 120 Kg ha-1 of N, T8 - without inoculation and 180 Kg ha-1 of N, and T9-without inoculation and 240 Kg ha-1 of N and four evaluation times (15, 30, 45 and 60 DAS). The variables analyzed were: activity of the enzyme nitrate reductase, plant height, levels of total soluble sugars, levels of reducing sugars, leaf area index, chlorophyll a and b and number of nodules. The association of the bacteria with the dosage of 10 kg ha-1 of N was beneficial for the formation of nodules, the accumulation of fresh mass and the activity of the enzyme nitrate reductase.

Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia/UFRA2023-12-15info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionCowpea bean inoculated with bacteria associated with nitrogen fertilization in plant metabolism and growth.application/pdfhttps://ajaes.ufra.edu.br/index.php/ajaes/article/view/3544Amazonian Journal of Agricultural Sciences Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; Vol 66 (2023): RCA AJAES; 1-13Revista de Ciências Agrárias Amazonian Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; v. 66 (2023): RCA AJAES; 1-132177-87601517-591Xreponame:Revista de Ciências Agrárias (Belém.
