Resumo: The genre Nematopsis Schneider, 1892 is a parasite apicomplexo represented by several species that occur in some cases, such as pathogens in bivalve molluscs. Nematopsis sp. was found in the gills and mantles of bivalve Anomalocardia brasiliana (cockles nv), collected in the coastal region of Florianópolis- (SC) and Crassostrea rizophorae (Nv- mangrove oyster) of the Parana coast region near Curitiba (PR) This parasite occurs in the form of oocysts within the parasitophorous vacilolos located within phagocytic cells (phagocytes). The oocyst measures about 24-26 pm and is externally surrounded by a fine network of anastomosed microfibrils radiating from the oocyst wall. And comprising an outer wall within which lies a uninucleate cell the sporozoite. Its main cytoplasmic structures, the apical complex consisting of rhoptries, micronemes, microtabulos which are the structures that allow the inclusion of these parasites in the phylum Apicomplexa Levine, 1972.

Nematopsis sp. foi encontrado nas brânquias e mantos dos bivalves Anomalocardia brasiliana (n. v. berbigao), coletado na região costeira de Florianópolis-(SC) e em Crassostrea rizophorae (n. v.- ostra do mangue) da região da costa paranaense perto de Curitiba(PR) Este parasita ocorre sob a forma de oocistos dentro de vacilolos parasitoforos localizados dentro de células fagociticas (fagócitos). O oocisto mede cerca de 24-26 pm e é externamente envolvido por uma fina rede anastomosada de microfibrilas que irradiam da parede do oocisto. E constituído por uma parede externa, no interior da qual se encontra uma célula uninucleada o esporozoito.
