Aqueous extract of rosemary-pepper on purple nutsedge management

Studies with rosemary -pepper show that this species has the potential allelopathicon weeds , among which stands out the weed. In this study , we evaluatedthe effects of concentration of aqueous extracts of rosemary -pepper in the developmentof purple nutsedge tubers . The treatments consisted of aqueous extracts ofrosemary -pepper at concentrations of 0 , 10 , 20 , 30 , 40 , 50 , 60 and 70 % in cash gerboxtransparent containing coarse washed sand and ten healthy tubers of nutsedge spreadevenly along the container. The increase in the dose of rosemary extract -peppercaused a reduction in the percentage of emergence and emergence rate indexpurple nutsedge seedlings , as well as the inhibition of their development. in the largerconcentrations , the extracts showed higher number of tubers that did not emerge andwith advanced deterioration. The maximum effect was obtained at concentrations higher than 50 %Extract of rosemary peppermint, decreasing the length and seedling vigor nutsedge .
