Resumo: Among the pests of concern to the producers in the State of Pará, the black fly the citrus, Aleurocanthus woglumi (hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) stands for cause direct and indirect damage to citrus plants, besides being present or quarantine pest A2 high alert, restricting trade with other regions. Being an exotic pest, newly introduced, lacking basic knowledge to implement appropriate management in the Amazon region. Was observed to occur Aleurocanthus woglumi Ashby attacking African mahogany (Khaya ivorensis) in reforestation areas in eastern Amazonia. This is the first record of this whitefly attacking African mahogany in the Brazilian Amazon. We report the first occurrence of Aleurocanthus woglumi Ashby attacking African mahogany (Khaya ivorensis) in reforested areas of the Eastern Amazon. Until then, we had no record of insect pests attacking the African mahogany in the Amazon.

Por ser uma praga exótica, recém-introduzida, faltam conhecimentos básicos para a implementação de um manejo adequado na Região Amazônica. Foi observado a ocorrência de Aleurocanthus woglumi Ashby atacando o mogno africano (Khaya ivorensis), em áreas de reflorestamento na Amazônia Oriental.
