Resumo: The germination behavior in vitro is variable depending on each species. Therefore, this work aims to verify how this process occurs, and defines a methodology for acclimatization of plantlets obtained in vitro star fruit. The experiment was conducted at the Laboratory of Tissue Culture, Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (FCAV) UNESP, Jaboticabal (SP). Seeds from ripe fruits of cultivar B-10 belonging to the orchard FCAV / UNESP were decontaminated with 70% alcohol and hypochlorite 30% (w / v) and germinated amid MS1 / 2, with and without addition of 2 mL .L-1 anticontaminante ppm. Plantlets in vitro were tested for acclimatization in two seasons, with 1-2 days (3.0 cm) and 5-6 days (4.5 cm) after seed germination. It was found that in vitro seeding procedure is feasible to obtain star fruit seedlings and seedlings with 1-2 days after germinaçãoa do not survive in vitro, while seedlings of 5-6 days after germination showed 98% survival during acclimatization.

Para tanto, este trabalho tem a finalidade de verificar como ocorre esse processo, além de definir uma metodologia de aclimatização de plântulas de caramboleira obtidas in vitro. O experimento foi desenvolvido no Laboratório de Cultura de Tecidos da Faculdade de Ciências Agrárias e Veterinárias (FCAV) UNESP, Jaboticabal (SP). As sementes obtidas de frutos maduros da cultivar B-10 pertencentes ao pomar da FCAV/UNESP foram descontaminadas com álcool 70% e hipoclorito 30% (p/v) e postas para germinar em meio MS1/2, com e sem adição de 2 mL.L-1 de anticontaminante PPM. As plântulas obtidas in vitro foram testadas para aclimatização em duas épocas, com 1-2 dias (3,0 cm) e com 5-6 dias (4,5 cm) após a germinação das sementes.
