Resumo: | This paper proposes to discuss the role of the Pan American conferences in the 1930s, that is, in the scenario of the rise of the German and Italian totalitarian governments, and how the United States stood in the face of the alignment of the Latin American countries with the two European regimes. Specifically, will be given focus on the proceedings articulated between US statesmen and the Brazilian government, which in the conjuncture, sought to broaden their economic and military potential. |
