Resumo:	We are pleased to present to our readers the fifth edition of Revista Nordestina de História do Brasil (RNHB), which already has the printed and on-line versions. Our journal has international character, semiannual periodicity and an editorial board with members from various countries. We also collaborate with the História da América Latina seal – which the collaboration by the Cátedra Fernão de Magalhães, linked to the Universidad de Playa Ancha (UPLA, Chile) and the Instituto Camões (IC, Portugal) – which will edit our printed versions.
