Resumo: This article addresses the contribution of Brazilian writer Rosário Fusco to Brazilian literature, focusing on his participation in the Movimento Verde based on a reading of O Agressor, a book published in 1943 in Rio de Janeiro. Fusco's surrealist vision reveals itself to be based on clues, leaving room for multiple interpretations and readings. Despite Antonio Candido's negative criticism directed at the book and more directly at the writer, the novel, certainly modernist, can be read from many other keys of interpretation. Considering the aspects of the surrealist movement is a starting point, as we will present throughout the text, divided by themes that reveal the plot of evidence created by Fusco, another forgotten Brazilian modernist.
