LANGUAGE MISUSE AND ABUSE IN MANAGEMENT TEXTS: THE CASE OF JUST-IN-TIME

Resumo: A critical point in any organizational development project is one that is not linked to the techniques that one tries to implement; it has to do with the ways by which the whole project is communicated to those that it will affect, i. e., the real  problem is one of using a linguistic  framework that will make it possible to all concerned to effectively understand  what it is all about.   Besides taking a long time to be understood, the Japanese managerial techniques, when brought to the western milieu, have created some serious problems of categorization resulting in the usage conflicting categories.  Although the problem of language abuse is widespread in the texts dealing with the Just-in-Time technique, one author has conquered the championship in establishing conflicting and illogical conceptualizations: Richard T. Lubben.  This article aims at showing the semantic and epistemological problems created by such linguistic misunderstandings.

Lubben.  This article aims at showing the semantic and epistemological problems created by such linguistic misunderstandings. Un aspecto crítico en cualquier proyecto de desarrollo organizacional no está conectado a las técnicas que uno pretende implantar; él está conectado a las formas por las cuales el proyecto es comunicado aquellos  que serán afectados por él, esto es, lo problema real es el uso de una estructura lingüística que sea capaz de hacer con que todos comprendan de lo que  se trata. Al demás de tener ocurrido un largo plazo de tiempo para ser comprendidas, las técnicas gerenciales japonesas, cuando trasladadas al Occidente, han creado algunos problemas muy serios de categorización que resultaran en el uso de categorías conflictivas.  No obstante el problema del abuso del lenguaje en los textos referentes a las técnicas del Just-in-Time sea amplio y diversificado, un autor  ha ganado el campeonato de creación de concepciones conflictivas  e ilógicas: Richard T. Lubben.  Este artículo tiene por objetivo mostrar y criticar los problemas semánticos e epistemológicos creados por tales desentendimientos linguísticos.Um aspecto crítico em qualquer projeto de desenvolvimento organizacional não está ligado às técnicas que se pretende implantar; ele está ligado às formas pelas quais o projeto é comunicado àqueles que serão afetados por ele, isto é, o problema real é o uso de uma estrutura lingüística capaz de fazer com que todos entendam do que se trata.  Além de ter decorrido um longo período de tempo para ser compreendidas, as técnicas gerenciais japonesas, quando transpostas para o Ocidente, criaram alguns problemas sérios de categorização que resultaram no uso de categorias conflitantes.  Embora o problema do abuso da linguagem nos textos referentes às técnicas do Just-in-time seja  amplo e diversificado, um autor conquistou o campeonato de estabelecer concepções conflitantes e ilógicas: Richard T.
