Resumo: This study aimed to investigate how perceived career barriers have impacted career self-management of undergraduates at a public university in the context of Covid-19 pandemic. This paper brings as a theoretical contribution the literature of Covid-19 pandemic and career studies with an emphasis on perceived barriers and career self-management actions. Following a qualitative approach, netnography was adopted as a methodological strategy by collecting posts from the “Segredos” page on the Facebook, which is a space for discussions by the academic community. Data were coded, analyzed and guided by content analysis with thematic categorization a posteriori. The results showed that in the face of the atypical context of contextual crises, students perceive numerous external barriers (education, economics, politics, financial restrictions and family condition) and internal barriers (mental health). With the pandemic context, career self-management has become more intense and complex. Students have been adopting productive and non-productive coping to face the perceived barriers. Limitations of this study and new proposals for future researches are indicated.

Limitations of this study and new proposals for future researches are indicated.El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo investigar cómo las barreras de carrera percibidas han impactado la autogestión de carrera de los estudiantes de una universidad pública en el contexto de la pandemia Covid-19. El trabajo trae como aporte teórico la literatura en torno al contexto de la pandemia de Covid-19 y los estudios de carrera con énfasis en barreras percibidas y acciones de autogestión de carrera. Siguiendo un enfoque cualitativo, se adoptó como estrategia metodológica la netnografía a partir de la recopilación de publicaciones de la página “Segredos” de Facebook, que es un espacio de discusión de la comunidad académica. Los datos fueron codificados, analizados y guiados por análisis de contenido con categorización temática a posteriori. Los resultados mostraron que ante el contexto atípico de crisis contextuales, los estudiantes perciben numerosas barreras externas (educación, economía, política, restricciones financieras y condición familiar) e internas (salud mental). Con la pandemia, la autogestión de carrera se ha vuelto más intensa y compleja, en la que los estudiantes han ido adoptando acciones productivas y no productivas de afrontamiento ante las barreras percibidas. Se destacan las limitaciones de esta investigación y se señalan nuevas propuestas de estudios futuros.O objetivo do artigo é explicar como barreiras percebidas na carreira impactaram o autogerenciamento de carreira de estudantes de uma universidade pública no contexto da pandemia da Covid-19.  Seguindo uma abordagem qualitativa, foi adotada a pesquisa documental como estratégia metodológica ao partir da coleta de postagens da página “Segredos”, na rede social Facebook, que é um espaço de discussões da comunidade acadêmica. Os dados foram codificados, analisados e orientados pela análise de conteúdo com categorização temática a posteriori. Foram obtidas as seguintes categorias temáticas: barreiras percebidas na carreira e autogerenciamento de carreira. Os resultados apontaram que diante do contexto atípico de crises contextuais, os estudantes percebem inúmeras barreiras externas (educação, economia, política, restrições financeiras e condição familiar) e internas (saúde mental).
