Resumo: This study used the, problems sulving method for directing nursing assistance to the hospitalized surgical patient. We present the elaborate instrument foundet in the Bailey e Claus model which is analised and exemplificaded. The authors consider the available resources concluding that the nesessary is in nursing all the taking decision process to reach the proposed objectives, toward the resolution of the patient problems.

Apresentamos o instrumento elaborado, alicerçado no modelo de Vailey e Claus, o qual é analisado e exemplificado. As autoras consideram os recursos disponíveis na instituição em estudo, concluindo que o modelo proposto é passível de ser implementado.
