Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology as a theoretical-philosophical framework in teaching research in nursing

Resumo: This paper aims to describe the theoretical-philosophical framework used in the development of the qualitative research that constituted the thesis “Meanings of sensibility for being a nursing teacher-nurse in teaching and learning to be and do nursing in light of Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology”. This approach made it possible to seek subsidies for the questions that result from life experience, since the philosopher recognizes the body inserted in the world as a constitution of the subjectivity and expression of speech. According to the Merleau-Pontyan framework, it is possible to comprehend the language as gestuality and body expression in the perceptive experiences of the other when interviews are done with the participants. The results indicate the importance of phenomenology as it helped the researchers to figure out their own ways, know the feelings, behaviors, and the relations with the other, in a dynamic world, which is in constant transformation and that develops a dialogue and makes connections with life. Education.Nursing.El presente artículo tiene como objetivo describir el referencial teórico-filosófico empleado para o desarrollo de una investigación cualitativa que se constituyó en la tesis de doctorado “Significados de la sensibilidad para el ser docente enfermero(a) en el enseñar y aprender a ser y a hacer enfermería a la luz de la fenomenología de Maurice Merleau-Ponty”. Ese abordaje posibilitó la búsqueda de subsidios para los cuestionamientos decurrentes de la vivencia, pues el filósofo reconoce el cuerpo insertado en el mundo como constitución de la subjetividad y de la expresividad del habla. Conforme el referencial merleaupontyano es posible comprender el lenguaje como gestualidad y expresividad del cuerpo en las vivencias perceptivas del otro cuando se realizan entrevistas con los participantes. Los resultados apuntan la importancia de la fenomenología, una vez que permitió que las investigadoras descubriesen sus propios caminos, conociesen los sentimientos, comportamientos, las relaciones con el otro en el mundo dinámico en constante transformación que dialoga y hace conexión con la vida. Enfermería.O presente artigo tem como objetivo descrever o referencial teórico-filosófico utilizado para o desenvolvimento de pesquisa qualitativa que se constituiu na tese de doutorado: “Significados da sensibilidade para o ser-docente-enfermeiro(a) no ensinar e aprender a ser e fazer enfermagem à luz da fenomenologia de Maurice Merleau-Ponty”. Essa abordagem possibilitou buscar subsídios para os questionamentos decorrentes da vivência, pois o filósofo reconhece o corpo inserido no mundo como constituição da subjetividade e expressividade da fala. Conforme o referencial merleaupontyano, é possível compreender a linguagem como gestualidade e expressividade do corpo nas vivências perceptivas do outro quando se realizam entrevistas com os participantes. Os resultados apontam a importância da fenomenologia, pois auxiliou as pesquisadoras a descobrirem os seus próprios caminhos, conhecerem os sentimentos, comportamentos, as relações com o outro no mundo dinâmico em constante transformação que dialoga e faz conexão com a vida.
