Resumo: | This study’s objectives were to analyze the representations regarding the relationships between Nursing and Education practices, to reveal expectations regarding the class discipline Teaching Fundamentals, Methods and Techniques, and evaluate the use of the Projects Method. Method: this is a qualitative evaluation research performed between April and June 2007 with first-year students of a Nursing Undergraduate Course. The data were analyzed based on the Social Representations framework and the constructivist postulates. The students revealed that their learning expectations were related with the contents of didactics, human communication, and the teaching-learning process. The Projects Method was considered capable of providing dynamism, interest about the content, and the ability to associate theory and practice, in addition to having favored the amplitude and appreciation of the binomial educate/care. |

Método: investigación de evaluación, de tipo cualitativa, realizada entre abril y junio del 2007, con estudiantes del primer año de Pregrado en Enfermería. Los datos fueron analizados con la teoría de las Representaciones Sociales y los postulados del constructivismo. Los estudiantes mostraron que sus expectativas de aprendizaje se relacionan con los contenidos sobre didáctica, comunicación humana y proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. La utilización del Método de Proyectos fue considerado como capaz de proporcionar dinamismo, de interés en el contenido y con capacidad de asociación teórico-práctica, además de favorecer la amplitud y valorar el binomio educar/cuidar.Os objetivos do estudo foram: analisar as representações a respeito das relações entre a prática da Enfermagem e a Educação, revelar expectativas referentes à disciplina Fundamentos, Métodos e Técnicas de Ensino e avaliar o uso do Método de Projetos. Método: pesquisa de avaliação, de natureza qualitativa, realizada entre abril e junho de 2007, com estudantes da primeira série de um Curso de Graduação em Enfermagem. Os dados foram analisados com as referencias das Representações Sociais e dos postulados construtivistas. Os estudantes revelaram que suas expectativas de aprendizado relacionavam-se aos conteúdos de didática, comunicação humana e processo ensino-aprendizagem. O emprego do Método de Projetos foi avaliado como capaz de proporcionar dinamismo às aulas, interesse pelo conteúdo e capacidade de associação teoria e prática, favorecendo a compreensão do binômio educar/cuidar. Concluiu-se que os conteúdos de didática em saúde são capazes de gerarem interesse nos estudantes, principalmente quando uma metodologia inovadora é empregada.
