EPIDEMIC PROFILE AND EVALUATION OF THE SELF-ESTEEM OF BEARERS OF HIV/AIDS OF ALFENAS CITY-MG

Resumo: This study had as objectives to identify the socioeconomic characteristics and to evaluate the  self-esteem of the adult users with positive serology anti-HIV and attacked by AIDS, assisted in the Centro de Testagem e Aconselhamento (CTA) of the Alfenas-MG. It is a study accomplished among April to August 2008 with the technique of semi-structured interview. The age group prevailed among 30-39 years (37,78%), feminine gender (53,3%), white color (48,9%), single (37,8%), low education level (42,2%), that they acquired the virus through sexual relationship (88,9%) and with medium score of self-esteem (62,2%). In relation to the relatives, 24,44% of the interviewees possessed at least a positive serum in the family. The epidemic identification profile of the bearers of HIV/AIDS in CTA of Alfenas-MG it comes to evidence the need of larger social mobilization and of inter-sectorial integration in the implementation of actions that it act front to that offence.

Tratase de un estudio descriptivo, exploratorio, de delineamiento transversal, realizado entre abril y agosto de 2008 en el que se utilizó la técnica de entrevista semiestructurada. Predominando edades de entre 30-39 años (37,78%), género femenino, color lanco(48,9%), solteros(37,8%), baja escolaridad(42,2%), que adquirieron el vírus por via sexual(88,9%) y con puntuación media de autoestima (62,2%). En relación a los familiares, el 24,44% de los entrevistados posee al menos un seropositivo en su familia. La identificación del perfil epidemiológico de los portadores de HIV/SIDA en el CTA de Alfenas-MG deja evidente la necesidad de una mayor mobilización social y de integración intersectorial en la implementación de acciónes que actuen frente a este agravio.Este estudo teve como objetivos identificar as características sócio-econômicas e avaliar a auto-estima dos usuários adultos com sorologia positiva anti-HIV e acometidos por AIDS, atendidos no Centro de Testagem e Aconselhamento (CTA) da cidade de Alfenas-MG. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, exploratório, de delineamento transversal, realizado entre abril a agosto de 2008, em que se utilizou a técnica de entrevista semi-estruturada. Predominou a faixa etária entre 30-39 anos (37,78%), gênero feminino (53,3%), cor branca (48,9%), solteiros (37,8%), baixo nível de escolaridade (42,2%), que adquiriram o vírus por meio de relação sexual (88,9%) e com escore médio de auto-estima (62,2%). Em relação aos familiares, 24,44% dos entrevistados possuíam pelo menos um soropositivo na família.
