Resumo: The present study has the objective to rethink and to build a nursing assistance to a hospitalized abused child by his/her family, based on living experiences, feelings and expectations of nurses and auxiliary personnel. The methodological concept used was the “living learning experience into the group”, defined as “living workshop”. The thoughts brought and shared by the nursing caregivers, gave opportunity to the group to perceive and to feel themselves as people who face in their life routine the phenomenon called “abused child” and “family member-aggressor”. The meaning aroused from the nursing care legitimated the fact that the nursing caregiver is the one who needs to be cared.

The meaning aroused from the nursing care legitimated the fact that the nursing caregiver is the one who needs to be cared.El presente artículo tiene como objetivo repensar y construir una práctica asistencial para niños hospitalizados por maltratos de los familiares, a partir de las vivencias, sentimientos y expectativas de enfermeras y ayudantes de enfermería. La base metodologica de la “oficina de vivencias” fue la aprendizage a partir de las experiencias vividas en el grupo. El contexto de la experiencia y las reflexiones compartidas por los cuidadores de enfermería, criaran la oportunidad para que los miembros del grupo diesen cuenta y sentiesen a ellos mismos como personas que enfrentan, en su cotidiano, el fenómeno del niño maltratado y familiares que maltratan. Los significados emergidos de los cuidados de enfermería también legitimaron que el cuidador de enfermería es un ser que necesita de cuidados.O presente estudo tem como objetivo repensar e construir, a partir das vivências, sentimentos e expectativas das enfermeiras e auxiliares de enfermagem, uma prática assistencial às crianças hospitalizadas por maus-tratos familiares. A base metodológica foi a “Aprendizagem vivenciada em grupo”, denominada de “Atelier de Vivências”. O contexto da experiência concreta e reflexões trazidas e compartilhadas pelos cuidadores de enfermagem oportunizou perceberem-se e sentirem-se como pessoas que enfrentam no seu cotidiano o fenômeno criança maltratada e familiar agressor.
