Resumo: This paper considers about the onco-hematologic assistance policies and their implications in caring for a child with cancer diagnosis and his/her family. It emphasizes that the existential changes of the child-family unit may be minimizes by the policies that assure access to resources. The study shows how Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) are inserted in the context. The conclusion is that the engagement of families as well of health professionals and institutions, both governmental and non-governmental, may contribute to the implementation of policies that enlarge the network of assistance to children who suffer from an oncohematologic disease.

Refuerza que los cambios existenciales pueden ser minimizados por políticas que garantizen el acceso a los recursos. Aborda como las Organizaciones No Gubernamentales (ONGs) estan inmersas en este contexto. Se concluye que el empeño de las familias, de los profesionales de salud, de las instituciones gubernamentales y no gubernamentales, pueden contribuyr en la construcción de políticas que amplien la red de atención a los ninõn que viven una enfermedad onco-hematológica.Este trabalho apresenta uma reflexão sobre as políticas de atendimento oncohematológico e suas implicações no cuidado à criança com diagnóstico de câncer e sua família. Reforça que as mudanças existenciais da criançafamília podem ser minimizadas por políticas que garantam o acesso aos recursos. Aborda como as Organizações Não-Governamentais (ONGs) estão inseridos neste.
