Lifestyle profile of people with cardiovascular disease

Resumo: The objective of this study was to identify the lifestyle profile of people with cardiovascular disease (CVD) in a specialized out-patient unit in the municipality of São Paulo, Brazil, and to compare lifestyle profiles with the social-demographic characteristics of these people. The instrument Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile (HPLP I) was applied in 22 people with CVD that were followed up in that out-patient unit. It was verified that people with CVD presented worse profile in the exercise domain (average 2.18) and better profile in the selffulfillment domain (average 3.26). Obtained results provided information to follow up patients during Nursing Consultation.

Es un estudo exploratorio-descriptivo, de corte transversal. Fue utilizado el instrumento Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile (HPLP I y aplicado en 22 personas con ECV que están sendo acompañadas en un ambulatorio de especialidades. Se verificó que los individuos con ECV presentaron peor en el dominio ejercicio (medía 2,18) y mejor perfil en el dominio autorealización (medía 3,26). Los resultados obtenidos forneceran subsidios para el acompañamiento de las personas atendidas en la consulta de enfermería.Esta pesquisa teve como objetivos identificar o perfil de estilo de vida de pessoas com doença cardiovascular (DCV) em um ambulatório de especialidades no Município de São Paulo, Brasil e comparar esse perfil às características sociodemográficas dessas pessoas. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório-descritivo, de corte transversal. Foi utilizado o instrumento Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile (HPLP I), aplicado em 22 pessoas com DCV que estavam sendo acompanhadas. Verificou-se que os indivíduos com DCV apresentaram pior perfil no domínio exercício (média 2,18) e melhor perfil no domínio auto-realização (média 3,26).
