Quality of life among nursing professionals working in surgical wards

Resumo: This transverse, descriptive study aimed at evaluating the quality of life of nursing professionals working in the surgical ward, by using the Flanagan Quality of Life Adapted Scale. 103 workers participated in the study, mainly women (82.5%), with an average age of 38. Among them, 70.8% were nursing assistants while 11.6% were nurses. Regarding the quality of life evaluation, it has been found out a mean of 77.18 ±10.51, a possible range from 16 to 112. The item with the highest rate of satisfaction was Relationship with Friends while Participation in Sports and Leisure Activities received the lowest satisfaction rate.

Participaron del estudio 103 trabajadores, siendo 82,5% del sexo femenino, con un promedio de edad de 38 años, entre los cuales, un 70,8% eran ayudantes de enfermería y un 11,6%, enfermeros. En cuanto a la evaluación de la calidad de vida, obtuvimos un promedio de 77,18± 10,51, intervalo posible de 16 a 112. El factor de mayor satisfacción fue la Relación con Amigos y el de menor satisfacción, la Participación en Actividades de Recreación y Deportivas.Estudo descritivo, transversal, cujo objetivo foi avaliar a qualidade de vida dos profissionais de enfermagem atuantes no Bloco Cirúrgico, utilizando a Escala Adaptada de Qualidade de Vida de Flanagan. Participaram do estudo 103 trabalhadores, 82,5% do sexo feminino, com média de idade de 38 anos, 70,8% auxiliares de enfermagem e 11,6% enfermeiros. Quanto à avaliação da qualidade de vida, se obteve a média de 77,18± 10,51, intervalo possível de 16 a 112.
