Nursing diagnoses in patients interned for the orthopedics clinic in a medical-surgical unit

Resumo: | Descriptive and exploratory study, carried through in a school hospital in Londrina that was focused on how to identify the frequency of the main nursing diagnoses according to the North American Nursing Diagnoses Association in male patients interned in orthopedics clinic. The sample was composed from 60 patients, who had been submitted to an interview and physical examination. The average age was 40,6 years old and the average nursing diagnoses was 10,6 per patient. The activity domain and rest was the most frequent (36%) followed by security and protection (28%). The most frequent nursing diagnoses were: risk for infection (76.6%), the harmed skin integrity (73,3%), acute pain (65%), auto care for bath and hygiene deficit (58,3%), physical mobility deficience (51.6%), deficient knowledge (50%), neurovascular peripheral dysfunction risk (48,3%). This research favored the identification of the necessities of cares of sick people interned with orthopedics problems, contributing to the delineation of the relevance of the different pertinent clinical focus concerning the orthopedics nursing. |

La muestra ha sido compuesta de 60 pacientes, los cuales han sido sometidos a entrevista y examen físico. La media de edad ha sido 40,6 años y el número medio de diagnósticos de enfermería por paciente, de 10,6. El dominio actividad y reposo ha sido el más frecuente (36%), seguido de seguridad y protección (28%). Los diagnósticos mas frecuentes ha sido: riesgo para infección (76,6%), integridad de la piel perjudicada (73,3%), dolor agudo (65,0%), déficit de autocuidado para baño e higiene (58,3%), movilidad física perjudicada (51,6%), conocimiento deficiente (50,0%), riesgo para disfunción neurovascular periférica (48,3%). Esta investigación ha favorecido la identificación de las necesidades de cuidados de enfermos internados con problemas ortopédicos, contribuyendo al delineamiento de la relevancia de los distintos focos clínicos pertinentes a la enfermería ortopédica.Estudo descritivo e exploratório, realizado em um hospital escola em Londrina que objetivou identificar a freqüência dos principais diagnósticos de enfermagem de acordo com a North American Nursing Diagnoses Association em pacientes masculinos internados pela clínica ortopédica. A amostra foi composta de 60 pacientes, que foram submetidos à entrevista e exame físico. A média de idade foi de 40,6 anos e o número médio de diagnósticos de enfermagem por paciente de 10,6. O domínio atividade e repouso foi o mais freqüente (36%) seguido de segurança e proteção (28%). Os diagnósticos mais freqüentes foram: risco para infecção (76,6%), integridade da pele prejudicada (73,3%), dor aguda (65,0%), déficit de autocuidado para banho e higiene (58,3%), mobilidade física prejudicada (51,6%), conhecimento deficiente (50,0%), risco para disfunção neurovascular periférica (48,3%).
