Resumo: This article proposes a discussion on the theory of dutch disease, its history and its main criticism. It shows the static model that demonstrates the transmission mechanisms of dutch disease for the economy. It also exposes the dynamic model based on the endogenous growth theory and principles of dutch disease, used as an explanation for natural resources curse. It presents the main theoretical and methodological criticism of these models.

Expõe-se também o modelo dinâmico, baseado na teoria do crescimento endógeno e com princípios de doença holandesa, utilizado como explicação para a maldição dos recursos naturais.
