Resumo: The study addresses the relationship between the levels of information and political knowledge of citizens and the electoral plurality in the state of Sinaloa, México, particularly the alternations in municipal governments. That means, plurality has to do with the levels of information and political knowledge of citizens and where, at higher levels of information and political knowledge may happen higher levels of plurality and alternation. A survey was conducted and created an index to see if this hypothesis is maintained, showing that indeed, higher rates of information and political knowledge of citizens means higher levels of plurality and alternation.
