Resumo: This article aims to analyze the importance of public funds to guarantee the public education policy and its relevance in the process of financing of education. The main education’s sources of assets are coming from of taxes of federated entities – the Union, the States and municipalities and from the social contribution of education salary. Therefore, two municipalities from the state of Paraná will be analyzed: Almirante Tamandaré and Araucária, verifying how the collaboration scheme in the offer of K-12 education works and the impact of tax revenue both of municipalities to the public education.

As principais fontes de recursos da educação são provenientes da arrecadação de impostos dos entes federados – da União, dos estados e Distrito Federal e dos municípios e da contribuição social do salário-educação.
