Resumo: Este trabalho tem como objetivo realizar uma análise literária de três contos do escritor norte-americano Chuck Palahniuk: “Zumbis”, “Falas Amargas” e “Desabrigados”. Chuck Palahniuk escreve, assumidamente, personagens disfuncionais e solitários que buscam, por meios não convencionais, pelo sentimento de pertencimento em seus respectivos universos narrativos. Sendo assim, a análise literária aqui realizada será feita sob essa perspectiva, buscando entender e ilustrar de que formas esse fator pode ser observado nos personagens dos contos em questão.

Chuck Palahnik admittedly writes dysfunctional and lonely characters who search, in unconventional ways, for the feeling of belonging in their respective narrative universes.
