Resumo: Os autores discutem os aspectos clínicos e laboratoriais relevantes no diagnóstico do feocromocitoma com base em um paciente com manifestações paroxísticas que foram atribuidas ao climatério. Analisam, também as medidas terapêuticas empregadas durante o preparo e a realização do procedimento cirúrgico.
