Resumo: This text presents stories, narratives and ways of life built in Campos dos Goytacazes, city located in the interior of the state of Rio de Janeiro (Northern Fluminense). With the issue of sexual and gender diversity as the axisof analysis, I present and problematize the mechanisms, strategies and possibilities (or limits) of negotiations forged by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transvestite and transgender (LGBT) subjects. Considering the mobilizations organized in Campos in the last decades, I present “localized knowledge” forged from the various forms of mobilization of people calling themselves LGBT. I am particularly interested in privileging the forms of resistance, the strategies ofcreation of ways of life and possibilities of agency in contexts considered hostile and uninhabitable. Dialoging with the propositions of gender and sexuality studies in interface with social movements, I focus, through interviewsand analysis of printed journals, stories lived in an “inner city” between the years of 1970 and 2017.

Tendo a questão da diversidade sexual e de gênero como eixo de análise, apresento e problematizo os mecanismos, as estratégias e possibilidades (ou os limites) de negociações forjadas por sujeitos nomeados como lésbicas, gays, bissexuais, travestis e transexuais (LGBT). Considerando as mobilizações organizadas em Campos nas últimas décadas, apresento “saberes localizados” forjados a partir das diversas formas de mobilização de pessoas autodenominadas como LGBT. Interesso-me, sobremaneira, por privilegiar as formas de resistência, as estratégias de criação de modos de vida e possibilidades de agência em contextos considerados hostis e inabitáveis.
