Resumo: It is known that the cinema often portrays socially relevant issues, leading to reflection on the social reality in which certain situations are produced. Therefore, this article aimed to promote critical reflection on the linkage between crime and madness, based on the movie Joker. To this end, we addressed the issue from a multidisciplinary perspective, involving psychology, sociology, criminal law and criminology. Finally, it was found that a series of factors permeates the relation between crime and madness, demanding a better articulation between the different areas of knowledge involved, in order to provide the proper support - whether social, health or legal - to the subjects involved in such conditions.

Assim, o presente artigo teve como objetivo propor uma reflexão crítica sobre a relação entre crime e loucura a partir do filme Coringa, em sua versão lançada em 2019. Para tanto, buscou-se abordar a questão sob uma perspectiva multidisciplinar, envolvendo a psicologia, sociologia, direito penal e a criminologia.
