ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE: a review of scientific literature published in Brazilian journals in the period from 2002 to 2007

Resumo: Considering the need for constant updating of professionals in caring for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and the use of scientific papers for that purpose, this study aims to examine the scientific production published in national journals about Alzheimer's disease during the period 2002 to 2007. Overall, the studies were published in journals directed to the medical profession and mainly the characterization of disease and clinical diagnostic methods, and observed a lower expression of studies directed to methods, techniques and approaches to rehabilitation as well as there are defects in production about important aspects of intervention with this population.
