Wandering paths on the margins of pop music: a sonic experience of differences

Resumo: This text seeks differentiation processes from the margins of pop music. We take Walter Benjamin as a methodological starting point, his wandering journey (flânerie) through the modern metropolis, to propose an opening to the sound differences. The path leads us to the experience of the self, less mediated by dominant media regimes, because listening to music here approaches to the experiment proposed by Giorgio Agamben, which asserts itself as singularity. Then, in the sound of some works, the possibility of a radically open listening that shifts the paradigms of recognition of pop music in the media is identified. The result is a communicational experience of enjoyment permeated by differences and alterities, which reviews narrative inequalities in the globalization scenario.

Tomamos Walter Benjamin como ponto de partida metodológico, seu percurso errante (flânerie) pela moderna metrópole, para propor uma abertura às diferenças sonoras. O caminho nos conduz à experiência de si, menos mediada por regimes midiáticos dominantes, pois a escuta musical aqui se aproxima do experimento proposto por Giorgio Agamben, que se afirma enquanto singularidade. Identifica-se então, na sonoridade de algumas obras, a possibilidade de uma escuta radicalmente aberta que desloca os paradigmas de reconhecimento da música pop nas mídias.
