Resumo: Three contemporary movie narratives produced in Rio Grande do Sul by Jorge Furtado were analized. The objective is to investigate the films from the point of view of genre in the cultural and relational dimensions of the category, showing the differences between the female characters. The three movies chosen for this debate are: Houve uma Vez Dois Verões (2002), O Homem que Copiava (2003) and Meu Tio Matou um Cara (2004). Although the movies have the narration by the male characters in off, there are the women who, preponderantly break out the plot conflicts. From this observation it was concluded that the dynamics of the male´s view has been flexible, although keeping some of their original characteristics.

El objetivo es investigar los largo-metrajes por la mirada del género, explorando su construcción cultural y dando evidencia a las diversas dimensiones entre los personajes femeninos. Los tres registros cinematrográficos que nosotros elegimos son: Houve uma Vez Dois Verões(2002),O Homem que Copiava (2003) y Meu Tio Matou um Cara (2004). Aunque las películas tengan la narración en off de los personajes masculinos, son la mujeres que, preponderantemente, deflagran los conflictos de las tramas. A partir de esa observación consideramos que la dinámica de la mirada masculina se flexibiliza, sin embargo mantiene algunos de sus prejuicios.Analisamos três narrativas cinematográficas contemporâneas produzidas no Rio Grande Sul pelo cineasta Jorge Furtado. O objetivo é investigar os filmes pelo viés do gênero, na dimensão cultural e relacional da categoria, evidenciando as distinções entre as personagens femininas. Os três registros cinematográficos que escolhemos para esse debate são: Houve uma Vez Dois Verões (2002), O Homem que Copiava (2003) e Meu Tio Matou um Cara (2004). Embora os filmes tenham a narração em off dos personagens masculinos, são as mulheres que, de modo preponderante, deflagram os conflitos das tramas.
