Resumo: This article looks after the issue of the technique and its ambiguity in the western imaginary. If by the one hand the technique is the vector of the human emancipation and its supposed dominance upon the nature; by the other hand it motivates the idea of alienation of the subject before the machine. From this bias, the text exposes a critical view of this “machinic” model inserted in the modernity projects, considering the modernistic idea itself being this ambiguous relationship between subject and object.

La technique est vecteur d'émancipation de l'homme et de sa supposée domination sur la nature, mais également donne naissance à l'idée d'aliénation du sujet en face de la machine. Dans ce cadre, le texte présente une critique de ce modèle «comme une machine» inséré dans le projet de la modernité, considérant que l'idée même de la modernité est basé sur cette relation ambiguë entre le sujet et l'objet.O artigo trata da questão da técnica e de sua ambiguidade no imaginário ocidental. Se, por um lado, a técnica é vetor de emancipação do homem e do seu pretenso domínio sobre a natureza, por outro, motiva a ideia de alienação do sujeito diante da máquina.
