Resumo: | Brazilian filmmakers’ theories in dispersion about the audiovisual: archeology, semiotics and deconstruction investigates semiotic procedures in different registers – verbal and non-verbal – that indicate filmmakers' theories about the audiovisual. Such theories, in becoming, are dispersed among articles, interviews and films made by Glauber Rocha, Júlio Bressane and Rogério Sganzerla, directors whose productions constitute the corpus of this research. Reviews, dissertations and theses on the topic, written by other authors - academics or journalists - were used as support materials and critically revised according to the vestiges and vectors of dispersed theories, which are to be systematized by way of three theoretical axes: archeology, semiotics and deconstruction. Archeology was responsible for identifying dispersed theoretical features and their rules of visibility; semiotics, for the systematization of the logic of identified semiosis; and deconstruction, for the regulated transformation of what has already been written in the form of a theory about the audiovisual. The investigation of materials resulted (a) in an experimental methodology in three analytical gestures: floating attention, dispersion and serialization, and (b) in signification series derived from the work of each director that indicate their theories about the audiovisual (of which we present, in section four, the series of designation games in Bressane, crosses in Glauber and intersemiotic anthropophagy in Sganzerla). |
