Resumo: In this article, a theoretical reflection is carried out about the reconfigurations of television consumption and telejournalism in the convergent scenario based on the second screen experience, conceived as the act of watching television and producing or reading comments on television content on social media. The growth of television audience ratings during the covid-19 pandemic, associated with the increase in the number of mentions of television news programs on social media during this period, demonstrate that the emergence of digital media did not result in the death of television, but led to reconfigurations and adaptations of the consumption of its content. Considering this context, theoretical perspectives are recovered around the concept of convergence and journalistic convergence and points of reflection are raised about the second screen experience and its implications for the consumption of television and telejournalism.

Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul2023-06-29info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/intexto/article/view/13033810.19132/1807-8583.55.130338Intexto; No. 55 (2023); 130338Intexto; Núm. 55 (2023); 130338Intexto; No. 55 (2023); 130338Intexto; N. 55 (2023); 130338Intexto; n. 55 (2023); 1303381807-8583reponame:Intexto (Porto Alegre)instname:Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)instacron:UFRGSporhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/intexto/article/view/130338/88922Copyright (c) 2023 Carlos Roberto Praxedes dos Santos, Camila Maurerhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSantos, Carlos Roberto Praxedes dosMaurer, Camila2023-12-13T14:34:20Zoai:seer.ufrgs.br:article/130338Revistahttp://seer.ufrgs.br/intextoONGhttp://seer.ufrgs.br/intexto/oai||intexto@ufrgs.br1807-85831807-8583opendoar:2023-12-13T14:34:20Intexto (Porto Alegre) - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)false
