Resumo: The article analyzes the filmic adaptation of Alan Moore´s graphic novel, V for Vendetta: a political alegory against totalitarian governments. It aims at questioning the theme of vengeance, facing contemporary terrorist outrages. It also investigates the intertextuality and the tradutory process, with emphasis in the stereotype and in the masked heroe´s visual composition.

Almeja-se problematizar o tema da vingança, diante dos atentados terroristas contemporâneos.
