Resumo: | The article proposes a look to the film Divino amor, from 2019, directed by Gabriel Mascaro, in two axis based on a method that articulates film analysis with theoretical questions raised on points that concerns to this movie. The first goes into a return to the narrative genre in cinema outside the main commercial circuit. In the case of Mascaro's film, it operates in the key of science fiction. The second axis highlights dystopian aspects that dialogue with reality and with fictional, documentary and scientific narratives of contemporary times. In the visual aspect, we establish relationships between a plot that addresses the valorization of Christian conservatism in a world permeated by advanced technology in the daily lives of the characters. In this sense, here we stir up the "vaporwave", retro-futuristic aesthetic that emerged in the context of electronic music and criticism of capitalism, but that was later captured on the internet by extreme right-wing political movements in the world. |

Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul2022-10-25info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionpesquisa teóricaapplication/pdfhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/intexto/article/view/11137110.19132/1807-8583202253.111371Intexto; No. 53 (2022); 111371Intexto; Núm. 53 (2022); 111371Intexto; No. 53 (2022); 111371Intexto; N. 53 (2022); 111371Intexto; n. 53 (2022); 1113711807-8583reponame:Intexto (Porto Alegre)instname:Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)instacron:UFRGSporhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/intexto/article/view/111371/86361Copyright (c) 2022 Eduardo Miranda Silvahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSilva, Eduardo Miranda2023-11-23T14:34:03Zoai:seer.ufrgs.br:article/111371Revistahttp://seer.ufrgs.br/intextoONGhttp://seer.ufrgs.br/intexto/oai||intexto@ufrgs.br1807-85831807-8583opendoar:2023-11-23T14:34:03Intexto (Porto Alegre) - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)false |
