Resumo: This paper presents and discusses some of the main results of the research about the most influential theoretical affiliation in the research of reception: the Latin American Cultural Studies. The main objective was to characterize this theoretical affiliation and to analyze transversally the contribution of some of its main exponents in order to understand the phenomenon of reception.

El principal objetivo fue caracterizar esta corriente teórica y analizar a través de la contribución de algunos de sus principales exponentes para comprender el fenómeno de la recepción.Este texto apresenta e discute alguns dos principais resultados de pesquisa realizada sobre a corrente teórica mais influente junto às pesquisas de recepção: os Estudos Culturais LatinoAmericanos.
