Resumo: | This article reflects on the meanings of the word people, listed by Agamben, and the meaning of the word democracy, based on Jacques Rancière ideas. We consider that people contain in themselves an initial scission idea. We work with the hypothesis that, in events between the pre-Confederations Cup events, in2013, and the moment after the political coup, in September 2016, there were gradual processes of convocation, grouping and scission of the Brazilian people. The initial scission was potentialized, until it culminated in the physical division of the Brazilian Ministries Esplanade, during the admissibility session of Dilma Rousseff’s impeachment by the Chamber of Deputies. We carried out a semiotic analysis of graphic pieces, political diagrams,, memes, distribution of pamphlets in Brasilia and, finally, of the brand of Michel Temer’s interim government. Inthe end, it was possible to demonstrate that the visual communications indicate a process of scission of the Brazilian people. |

2018; 17-35Intexto; n. 42, maio/ago. 2018; 17-35Intexto; n. 42, maio/ago. 2018; 17-35Intexto; n. 42, maio/ago. 2018; 17-35Intexto; n. 42, maio/ago. 2018; 17-351807-8583reponame:Intexto (Porto Alegre)instname:Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)instacron:UFRGSporhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/intexto/article/view/73604/47500Copyright (c) 2018 Fátima Aparecida dos Santoshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSantos, Fátima Aparecida dos2023-11-23T16:38:50Zoai:seer.ufrgs.br:article/73604Revistahttp://seer.ufrgs.br/intextoONGhttp://seer.ufrgs.br/intexto/oai||intexto@ufrgs.br1807-85831807-8583opendoar:2023-11-23T16:38:50Intexto (Porto Alegre) - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)false |
