Resumo: From individual memories of a Londrina’s pioneer, Omeletino Benatto, this study aims to contribute to the discussion about memory, identity and belonging. For this purpose, three images were selected from the colonization period and described textually and orally by the pioneer, in the idea of photography as “memory trigger detonator” with the support of oral history technique. These images and descriptions point to a relation of belonging to the place, where he identifies himself, guided and inhabits. For the analysis some concepts were required as place, from Augé (1994), topophilia, from Tuan (1980) and considerations of authors such as Schutz, Lynch, Kossoy, Le Goff and Marques on history, photography, city and memory preservation.

Con este fin, se seleccionaron tres imágenes de la colonización descritas textualmente y en forma oral por el pionero en la idea de la fotografía como “gatillo disparador de la memoria” y con el apoyo de la técnica de la historia oral. Estas imágenes y las descripciones indican una relación de pertenencia del entrevistado con el lugar, donde el se identifica, se orienta y habita. Para el análisis se abordaron los conceptos de lugar, Augé (1994), topofilia de Tuan (1980) y las consideraciones de autores como Schutz, Lynch, Kossoy, Le Goff y Marques acerca de la historia, fotografía, ciudad y preservación de la memoria.A partir de lembranças individuais de um pioneiro da cidade de Londrina, Omeletino Benatto, este estudo visa contribuir com a discussão sobre memória, identidade e pertencimento. Para tanto, foram selecionadas três imagens da época da colonização descritas textual e oralmente pelo pioneiro, sob a ideia da fotografia como “gatilho detonador da memória” e com o apoio da técnica da história oral. Essas imagens e descrições apontam para uma relação de pertencimento do entrevistado com o lugar, onde ele identifica-se, orienta-se e habita.
