Cinema as polysystem: Theory of Polisystem as a tool for film analysis

Resumo: Starting from the idea that Culture is a Polysystem composed of a polysystems others who are in constant interference and transformation through inter and intra-relations, is purpose of this work to make visible the idea of a cinematographic polysystem. It presents the Theory of Polysystem, idealized by Itamar EvenZohar from the propositions of the Russian Formalists, to then transpose it into the movie universe. And in order to support the use of the theory in the cinematic context is proposed an intertextual dialogue with Christian Metz’s reflections on filmmaking.

Por tanto, presenta la Teoría del Polisistema, idealizada por Itamar Even-Zohar a partir de las proposiciones de los Formalistas Rusos, para, en seguida, transpolarla para el universo cinematográfico. Y, a fin de corroborar la utilización de la teoría en el contexto cinematográfico, es propuesto un diálogo intertextual de esta con las reflexiones de Christian Metz acerca del hacer cinematográfico.Partindo da idéia de que a Cultura é um Polissistema composto por outros polissistemas que estão em constante interferência e transformação através de inter e intra-relações, é proposta deste trabalho tornar visível a idéia de um Polissistema cinematográfico. Para tanto, apresenta a Teoria do Polissistema, idealizada por Itamar Even-Zohar a partir das proposições dos Formalistas Russos, para, em seguida, transpô-la para o universo cinematográfico.
