Resumo: This paper makes a study of on-line news production and its impact on constructing the journalist professional identity. The analysis was structured by applying the French concept of journaliste assis or ‘sitting journalist’. The object researched was the productive routine of the CorreioWEb and the way in which the site’s journalist relates with public, information sources and other media. By the end it was possible to rank on-line journalism as a new professional status.

A análise foi estruturada pela aplicação do conceito francês de journaliste assis, ou .jornalista sentado.. Os objetos pesquisados foram as rotinas produtivas do CorreioWEb e a forma como o jornalista do site vai se relacionar com as fontes de informação, com outros veículos e com o internauta.
