Resumo: The Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV/Aids) theme is on the political and scientific agendas of several countries. Health communication is a contemplated component in the HIV /Aids prevention guidelines. This study presents the analysis of international scientific articles on the theme of health communication about HIV/Aids, published between 2007 and 2017. Specifically, it aims to: (i) present the bibliometric mapping of the aforementioned period; (ii) characterize the open access publications of the year 2017. We adopted the methodological procedure: (1) definition of the database (WoS/Clarivate Analytics, Pubmed and Scopus); (2) composition of the study sample (type of articles and title as a search field); (3) creation of the search strategy, data collection and treatment of information in the Vantage Point software; (4) bibliometric mapping of the 245 articles found, according to the fields: publication year; country of origin of the first author's affiliation institution; journals; affiliation institutions of authors and co-authors; (5) characterization of the 13 open access articles published in 2017, highlighting the journals which the articles were published, the themes addressed and methodologies covered. The Bibliometric mapping revealed inequality in the production of scientific knowledge, from North America, Europe and Africa prevailing. The analysis of the 13 references published in 2017 shows that social networks and institutional websites are auxiliary sources in the search for information about HIV/Aids, prioritizing the relationship between health professionals to engage patients. The intersectoral actions promoted by political and community leaders also stand out in the coping with HIV.

2020; 173-1951808-52451807-8893reponame:Em Questão (Online)instname:Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)instacron:UFRGSporhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/EmQuestao/article/view/98739/58273Copyright (c) 2020 Iaralyz Fernandes Farias, Ana Margarida Ribeiro do Amaral, Vitor Hugo Martins, Adriana Kelly Santoshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessFarias, Iaralyz FernandesAmaral, Ana Margarida Ribeiro doMartins, Vitor HugoSantos, Adriana Kelly2024-03-19T13:22:31Zoai:seer.ufrgs.br:article/98739Revistahttps://seer.ufrgs.br/emquestao/PUBhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/EmQuestao/oaiemquestao@ufrgs.br||emquestao@ufrgs.br1808-52451807-8893opendoar:2024-03-19T13:22:31Em Questão (Online) - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)false
