Resumo: Robert Darnton is director of the Harvard University Library and international reference in the history of Communication and cultural history. Leads currently the Digital Public Library of America, digital library launched in April 2013, bringing together collections of libraries, archives and museums. Author of dozens of books, in this interview, he talks about the development of the DPLA, the challenges faced by digitization projects, about the future of books, journalism and research on history of communication before the new technologies. The interview was conducted in October 2012, in his office at Harvard University.
