Resumo: The Saint Vincent Campus – IFMT [Instituto Federal do Mato Grosso] is responsible for implementing the Projovem Rural Course: knowledge and practices of the earth that acts both in teacher training (via specialization) and in the Social and Professional Qualification training of young people and adults from the family farming. The aim of this article is to describe the certification process of vocational qualifications that directly involves peasant youth. By means of a participatory case study, it will present how this policy was designed during its insertion in the youth context, within the scope of technical training and Rural Education. The results show that the bureaucratic aspects of governability hamper the fulfillment of IFMT’s social role.

O objetivo deste artigo é descrever sobre o processo da certificação da qualificação profissional que envolve diretamente a juventude camponesa. Por meio da metodologia do estudo de caso de cunho participante será apresentado como essa política se desenhou durante sua inserção no contexto da juventude, na dimensão da formação técnica e da Educação do Campo.
