Summary: This article discusses how conservative thought has been widespread through social networks from supporters of the Movement "Escola sem Partido" (ESP, School Without Party). We start with the analysis of the social medias Facebook and Instagram, seeking to verify who are the supporters of the ESP and the way in which their discourse is structured in social networks. The analysis carried out indicates who the proponents and supporters of ESP are, and states that this proposal is not non-partisan because it has strong links with reactionary groups who seeks to gain power. In addition to that, we find that ESP supporters act militantly in social media, openly disseminating conservative values, especially against debates on gender issues.

FACED - UFRGS2019-10-04info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/educacaoerealidade/article/view/84073Educação & Realidade [Education & Reality]; Vol. 44 No. 3 (2019)Educação & Realidade; v. 44 n. 3 (2019)2175-62360100-3143reponame:Educação & Realidadeinstname:Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)instacron:UFRGSporenghttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/educacaoerealidade/article/view/84073/54205https://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/educacaoerealidade/article/view/84073/54206Copyright (c) 2019 Ricardo Gonçalves Severo, Suzane da Roca Vieira Gonçalves, Rodrigo Duque Estradainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSevero, Ricardo GonçalvesGonçalves, Suzane da Roca VieiraEstrada, Rodrigo Duque2019-10-04T21:39:26Zoai:seer.ufrgs.br:article/84073Revistahttps://seer.ufrgs.br/educacaoerealidadePUBhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/educacaoerealidade/oai||educreal@ufrgs.br2175-62360100-3143opendoar:2019-10-04T21:39:26Educação & Realidade - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)false
