Militants, Abuse of Police Violence and Human Rights: Forms of Production of Truth in the Military Justice Audit of the State of Rio de Janeiro

Resumo: In June 2013, several political mobilizations have taken over the streets of the Brazilian cities. During these acts, police repression became routine and increasingly truculent. Some of these actions sought to impute crimes to demonstrators or even made use of force excessively. In Rio de Janeiro, some of the officers involved in these activities were reported and are responding to the Military Court. This article attempts to discuss the treatment given by the State Military Justice of Rio de Janeiro to cases involving the performance of military police in this context.

Durante esses atos, a repressão policial foi se tornando rotineira e cada vez mais truculenta. Algumas dessas ações procuravam imputar crimes a manifestantes ou, ainda, faziam uso da força de forma excessiva. No Rio de Janeiro, alguns dos policiais envolvidos nessas atividades foram denunciados e estão respondendo à Auditoria da Justiça Militar por crimes militares que cometeram durante essas manifestações.
