OS PRÓLOGOS DE HERÓDOTO E TUCÍDIDES: ALGUMAS CONSIDERAÇÕES DE ÂMBITO FILOSÓFICO E FILOLÓGICO

Resumo: Os prólogos das obras de Heródoto e Tucídides evidenciam as condições que Hannah Arendt considera estarem na base do surgimento da historiografia grega: grandiosidade e imortalidade – às quais acrescentamos a política. Por outro lado, os conceitos de historie e syngrapho permitem-nos estabelecer importantes diferenças entre os trabalhos dos dois historiadores gregos. O estudo filológico do verbo syngrapho revela-nos muitas das características específicas do texto tucididiano.
