Resumo: The landscape imagery / photographic constitutes the meeting of visible forms in a photosensitive surface, which together, produce meaning. The choice of angle, the framing, the perspective, the selection of elements in the table etc.. Comprised the construction and interpretation of the landscape, so that the logic of the image, condense multiple directions, driven by a hermeneutic understanding look. The idea of the photographic act (Dubois, 1993) and its consequences, appear as alternatives to analyze the nature of landscape imagery, according to a process of successive interpretations, ranging from the catchment / landscape significance of the "concrete" by the photographer to the significance of landscape imagery by the viewer. Therefore, we launched a reading of the urban landscapes of New Corrals, from photographs obtained by Raimundo Bezerra between 1950-1980, seeking to discuss how the discourses of modernity involved the development of these landscapes.

A escolha do ângulo, do enquadramento, da perspectiva, da seleção dos elementos que figuram no quadro etc., compõe a construção/interpretação da paisagem, de modo que, na lógica da imagem, condensam-se sentidos múltiplos, acionados por uma compreensão hermenêutica do olhar. A idéia de ato fotográfico (DUBOIS, 1993) e seus desdobramentos, aparecem como alternativas de analisar a natureza da paisagem imagética, segundo um processo de interpretações sucessivas, que vai desde a captação/significação da paisagem “concreta” pelo fotógrafo à significação da paisagem imagética pelo espectador.
